A Rag Bolt and Former Plate assembly provides the holding-down bolts required for a flange-mounted pole. Unlike a full footing cage, it requires additional reinforcing steel to complete the footing. This option is often used where the footing design is non-standard (not a typical pile type) or where reducing the cubic volume for transportation is an advantage.<
